THE garden that started it all.
THE garden that started it all.
Dora Erdei
is a Hungarian artist and designer with both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Fashion and Textile Design. Her history as an in-house Surface Designer for a Home Textiles Company and a Fashion and Print Studio makes her naturally trend-focused, versatile and detail-oriented.
Her favourite physical medium is watercolour because there is something soo magical about how unpredictable it can get, creating happy accidents. In digital art development, she likes a mix of heavy texture and flat colours. Her favourite projects are large, complex collections where she can get lost in the creative process for a long time. She also doesn't shy away from vector design or hand lettering.
One of her very first memories is sitting under a sour cherry tree in the middle of her grandma's garden and drawing flowers for hours and hours. That is where her passion for floral design comes from. Unfortunately, Dora didn’t inherit her grandmother's green thumb, so for a long, looooong time she focused on preserving them in her art.
You can very much feel all that in her work. It is bold, playful, feminine, and full of life and curiosity.
The philosophy she lives and works by is
“ There's always more to learn, and there's always time to play”
